There Is Still Plenty of Life to Live

Lately, it has been hot, so I decided to do something that would make life a little easier. I cooked a bunch of different meals in the crock pot, put them into containers, and froze them. That way, when the weather is hot, I wouldn't have to do much cooking. Then a flyer came in from the local Mexican market. They had pineapples, plantains, mangoes, watermelon, cucumbers—fresh fruits and vegetables at really good prices. They also had beef shanks. So after the gym, I had my caretaker take me to the store. I already had plenty of food at home. I had meals in the freezer, food in the refrigerator, and everything I needed. I wasn't going to the store because I was running out of food. But when I got there, something happened. I felt happy. The store was colorful and full of fresh food. I could choose one of this, two of that, three of something else. I wasn't limited to whatever quantity happened to come in a package. I could actually look at what I wanted and decide what I wa...

The 5 Hidden Blocks Keeping You Stuck (And How to Finally Break Free)

Does This Sound Familiar?

You’ve tried everything—every treatment, every method, every mindset shift—but the pain, the exhaustion, and the feeling of being stuck just won’t go away. Maybe it’s a chronic illness that lingers no matter what you do, or a deep sense that you’re meant for something greater but can’t seem to reach it. Perhaps you feel disconnected from your purpose, uncertain about your next steps, and weighed down by fatigue even when you get enough rest. Your mind plays on a loop of negative self-talk, keeping you stuck in a cycle of doubt and unworthiness. Old heartbreaks, betrayals, and grief still feel raw, as if no time has passed. Your body struggles to heal, whether from recurring injuries or sickness that lingers longer than it should. You find yourself overthinking, trapped in analysis paralysis, unable to take real action. And no matter how much you try to release the past, the wounds remain, making true forgiveness feel just out of reach.

If any of this resonates, you're not alone.

But here’s the truth: You may be unconsciously blocking your own healing and success.

If you feel like you can’t break past a certain level in health, happiness, prosperity, or personal growth—like something always knocks you back down—it’s not just bad luck. There are invisible forces at work, deep-seated energetic, emotional, and subconscious patterns that keep you stuck.

Let’s explore the five most common blocks and how to release them.

The 5 Most Common Blocks (and How to Break Through Them)

1. Subconscious Patterns & Negative Self-Talk

Your subconscious mind is incredibly powerful—it runs most of your daily behaviors, thoughts, and emotional responses without you even realizing it. If you have limiting beliefs like:

  • “I’m not worthy.”

  • “Success isn’t for me.”

  • “I always struggle.”

…then your subconscious will find ways to make those beliefs your reality.

Ways to Unblock:

✅ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Challenge and rewire negative thought patterns.
✅ Affirmations & Visualization – Reprogram your subconscious with empowering beliefs.
✅ Mindfulness Meditation – Observe and shift your thoughts without judgment.
✅ Hypnotherapy – Access and rewrite deep-seated subconscious beliefs.
✅ Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Techniques – Train your brain to create new neural pathways for success.

2. Emotional Wounds & Unresolved Trauma

Past heartbreak, betrayal, grief, or trauma can leave emotional imprints that hold you back from fully healing and moving forward. If emotions from years ago still trigger you, they may be stuck in your body and energy field.

Ways to Unblock:

✅ Therapy (EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, IFS) – Heal trauma stored in the nervous system.
✅ Inner Child Work – Nurture and heal the wounded parts of yourself.
✅ Journaling & Emotional Release – Express and process stored emotions.
✅ Forgiveness Practices – Let go of resentment to free your energy.

3. Energetic Imbalances

Your physical, emotional, and mental states are all connected through your energy system. If your energy is blocked or unbalanced, it can manifest as chronic pain, illness, exhaustion, or emotional instability.

Ways to Unblock:

✅ Reiki, Qi Gong, Acupuncture – Restore balance to your energy field.
✅ Grounding Techniques – Walk barefoot, connect with nature, and absorb the Earth’s energy.
✅ Crystal Healing – Use specific crystals to clear and harmonize energy.
✅ Sound Healing – Listen to frequencies and vibrations that promote healing.

4. Disconnection from Purpose & Lack of Clarity

Feeling lost, unfulfilled, or uncertain about your next step is a sign of being disconnected from your soul’s purpose. When you’re in alignment, life flows effortlessly—but when you’re out of sync, everything feels difficult.

Ways to Unblock:

✅ Life Coaching – Get guidance on aligning with your true calling.
✅ Meditation & Introspection – Tune into your inner wisdom.
✅ Journaling & Self-Reflection – Gain clarity on your purpose.
✅ Spending Time in Nature – Deepen your connection with yourself and your path.

5. Resistance to Healing & Self-Sabotage

Sometimes, even when we want healing or success, we unconsciously resist it. Why? Because change is scary. The unknown can feel unsafe. Or maybe, deep down, you believe you don’t deserve it.

Ways to Unblock:

✅ Identify & Address Fears – Explore what’s keeping you from moving forward.
✅ Build Self-Compassion – Speak to yourself with kindness and patience.
✅ Create a Supportive Environment – Surround yourself with people who uplift you.
✅ Work with a Coach or Therapist – Get expert guidance to help you move through resistance.

How These Blocks Manifest in Your Life

🔹 Physically – Chronic pain, illness, slow healing, fatigue.
🔹 Mentally – Overthinking, negative self-talk, analysis paralysis.
🔹 Emotionally – Lingering grief, unresolved trauma, feelings of unworthiness.
🔹 Spiritually – Disconnection from purpose, feeling lost, lack of clarity.

The Key to Healing & Transformation

Healing isn’t just about one method—it’s about integration. Your mind, body, and energy all work together. That’s why the most effective approach is one that addresses all aspects of your well-being.

Six Years Ago, I Survived a Stroke. Eleven Months Ago, Everything Changed Again.

I Almost Forgot My S trokeversary 💔 Please read my story, share this post, and help me get the word out.  Yesterday, August 3rd, marked six years since my stroke. I almost forgot. Not because it isn't important, but because I'm carrying so much pain from the injuries I suffered in my car accident on September 6th, 2025, that my stroke anniversary completely slipped my mind. That first year after my stroke, I honestly thought I was going to die every single day. I was constantly dizzy, scared, and didn't know if life would ever feel normal again. I remember telling myself, If I can just make it through the first year, I'll be okay. I had to learn how to walk, talk, and eat without choking all over again. Then came the second year. The third. Things slowly got easier. Life gradually started feeling normal again. I still have deficits—mostly in my left hand and a little weakness on my left side—for the most part, you couldn't really tell when I walked, or at least tha...

Sometimes the Setbacks Are a Blessing in Disguise

Sometimes the Setbacks Are a Blessing in Disguise When you’re rebuilding your life after a life-changing accident, every setback feels like another thing being taken away from you. For me, the last few weeks have been incredibly frustrating. I was finally starting to feel more confident using my prosthetic leg. I was making progress. I was walking more, getting stronger, and beginning to feel like I was getting a piece of my independence back. Then came the blood blisters. My amputated leg developed painful blisters, and suddenly I couldn’t wear my prosthetic. I had no choice but to slow down and give my body time to heal. At first, it felt like another obstacle. Another delay. Another reminder that recovery doesn’t happen on my timeline. But something unexpected happened. My remaining leg and ankle finally seemed to have the time they needed to recover. After my ankle surgery to remove three screws and the plate that had been holding my bone together, I had given it about four w...

Don't Borrow Your Dreams from People Who Never Chased Theirs

Don't Let Someone Else's Limited Thinking Become Your Limitations The reason I wrote this piece is not to rant. I recently lost my photography career after a tragic, catastrophic accident where I lost my leg. Now, once again, I'm being forced to reinvent myself. And that's kind of been the theme of my whole life: reinvention and resilience. I mentioned to some of the people closest to me what I wanted to do next, and boy, did they have opinions of their own. Not only am I still healing ten months after my accident, and my body is still going through trauma, but my brain is also forced to figure out what's next. When I told a couple of people what I wanted to do, they shut me down almost instantly. But then I had to think about their lives. All they've ever done was exchange their time for money. They don't understand me. I'm a creative person. I don't punch in and punch out for a J-O-B. So, I'm guarding my plans closely and only sharing them with...
